VOICE PROGRAM & FEES
Voice Programs at Miami Fine Arts Academy are designed for students from 5 years old to adults. Young beginners (5 years old) are evaluated for readiness. Our voice classes include vocal warm ups, ear training exercises, and vocal repertoire from your favorite artists to classical arias. You will learn how to breath properly, how to increase your range, how to project your voice and enunciate, how to use proper pitch, and how to present yourself on stage. You will be given several optional performance opportunities throughout the year, and you will have a professional accompanist or your voice teacher to rehearse with you and play for you on the recitals.
What Will I or My Child Learn in a Voice Lesson?
It is important to keep in mind that a voice is our personal instrument that needs much protection and careful maintenance. We take great care of hiring only qualified vocal professional in the field, because our students’ vocal health is extremely important to us.
Our voice students start their classes with vocal warm ups and end with their favorite vocal repertoire. Due to necessary vocal warm ups, we recommend that our voice students sign up for slightly longer classes than we normally recommend to our instrumental students, unless the students are 5-7 years old. We give numerous opportunities for our voice students to perform throughout the year. Many of our events have become a yearly beloved tradition, such as Halloween Carnival, Ensemble Festival, Holiday Sounds and Annual Recital. Performing in these and other recitals is optional, where students make personal decision with their teachers and parents which recitals they wish and ready to participate in. Our events are very organized, and they are a lot of fun.
How do I get started with Voice Lessons?
Follow these easy steps to get started on your dream of singing:
Step One: Introductory Lesson
Call 786.464.0566 and our friendly and knowledgeable Arts Consultants will help you schedule an introductory class and answer any questions you may have. The purpose of an Introductory Class is to give you or your child an opportunity to meet with your prospective voice teacher, to set your musical goals, and to experience your teacher’s individual teaching style. It also gives you a chance to check out our beautiful facility and to learn how we can further enrich your learning experience at our Academy. Our first time students do not need to purchase any books for their first class. We will provide you with all the necessary materials for your first class. Please do not be nervous; our teachers are very experienced and knowledgeable, and they will help you relax and enjoy your first class. If you are happy with your teacher, proceed to Step Two. If you did not feel the right chemistry between you and your first teacher, we will be happy to match you with another great teacher.
Step Two: Enrollment
If you are ready to join our musical family, we will be happy to enroll you in month-to-month Voice Program of your choice. We do not have long-term contracts, and you can always terminate your contract by the 15th of each month.
